The North Eastern Thai Fruit Luuk Yang Pa, is a very rare seasonal fruit which is only available for around 1 month each year. The Luuk Yang Pa fruit looks like a large orange longkong, and is grown in the Esarn or Issan (North East of Thailand) The skin is very easily removed to expose the soft Orange flesh with small seaded segments, a little like a sugar apple segments. The fruit is very juicy, and has a sweet and sour flavour similar to Passion Fruit. It is usually eaten with Nam Pla or a sweet hot, and salty dry dip. The fruit flesh does not come away from the seed the whole fruit is usually eaten including the seed.

The North Eastern Thai Fruit Luuk Yang Pa, is a very rare wild seasonal fruit which is only available for around 1 month each year and is collected by locals from the forests and wild areas of Ubon Ratchathani Province.
The Luuk Yang Pa fruit looks like a large orange longkong, and is grown in the Esarn or Issan (North East of Thailand)
