  Sorrel or Kra Jeab, also called Roselle. Sorrel possesses twice the amount of Vitamin C of an orange. Food value, nutritionists have found sorrel calyces to be high in calcium, niacin, riboflavin, iron, phosphorous, thiamine, amino acids, citric ascorbic acid, citric acid, d-malic acid, tartaric acid and hibiscic acid. Medicinal Uses In Thai traditional medicine  | Roselle is used for the treatment of various diseases and disorders including hypertension, hyperlipidemea, bladder stone and gastric ulceration (Bunyapraphatsara, 1987).
