A pleasant drive north out into the picturesque country - side. A short trek over a hill gets you to a Lisu hilltribe village. Of all the Hilltribes, the Lisu wear the most brightly coloured clothes. Mingle with them. Spend the evening observing their habits and customs. Dinner and overnight at this village. |
 | Day 2 After breakfast, it's a steep, strenuous 3 hours trek to the Akha hilltribe. Lunch is served here. It's then cowboy safari time ...a memorable 2hours body-swaying elephant ride through the lush jungle to Karen hilltribe village. Remember to "swing with the sway ". Dinner and overnight at this village. |  | Day 3 Rise and shine to the sights and sounds of nature. After breakfast, it's a 3hours "Huckleberry Finn" bamboo rafting trip along the placid Mae-Taeng River. Enjoy the serenity of nature and the jungle. Lunch at a River lodge. In the afternoon, a pleasant 2hours drive back to Chiang Mai.
Note: By nature, all the hill-tribes people are open and friendly. You will have ample opportunity and time to mingle with and get to know them. |
