Come and watch the majestic elephants in one of Thailand's best elephant camps along the Mae Sa Valley. With shows every day (THB80), you can watch these mammoth creatures play football, among other tricks. There are also opportunities to ride an elephant (7a-2p) through the local countryside, feed them with bananas and sugarcane, and take plenty of photographs. Also within the camp you will find an elephant nursery and a rafting center (open 8a-4p daily). Showtimes: 8a & 9:40a daily. Additional show at 1:30p during peak season. Each morning, at Km 10 on the Mae Rim-Samoeng route, trained elephants demonstrate their formidable and highly valued forestry skills from 9.30 until 11.00 AM, at the Mae Sa Elephant Training Centre. The centre is some 30 kilometers from town. Admission is 80 baht per person. A jungle tour on elephant back, lasting more than two hours through adjacent forests, is offered after the show and costs 250 baht per person. Elephants can also be seen at the Pong Yaeng Elephant Centre at KM 19 on the same route, and the Elephant Nature Park at Mae Taman on the Chiang Mai-Fang Road, some 57 kilometers from Chiang Mai.
