Thailand Diving Locations - Pattaya

Diving around Pattaya can be enjoyed year round. Diving the coral-fringed islands is the main attraction.
The corals are predominantly hard corals, with some soft corals and a few sponges. The average year round water temperature is in the region of 29 Celsius (27 C in mid winter to 31 C in Summer) so there is really no need for even a wetsuit.
A lycra skin is sufficient for most divers. This also makes it an ideal destination for snorkelling. Dives are generally shallow, ranging from 5 meters to 20 meters. There are some interesting wrecks in the area that we enjoy diving as well. One dive area has a depth of 50 meters and is a perfect destination for Tec deep diving and training with mix gases.
There is no shore diving or snorkelling around the city of Pattaya, but there are a large number of dive sites around the islands within easy reach of Pattaya by boat. Currents are generally slight so the diving is well within the capabilities of even novice divers.
